True Sendriya Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Padmavatinagarchimbali in the Khed area near Pune. You can find us at Gat No 473. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. We started this because a lot of us in the village were interested in different ways of growing things. The name Sendriya is important to us because it reflects how we handle our land. We don't use a lot of the heavy chemicals that other places might use. It takes more time and sometimes the yields aren't as big as the neighbors, but we feel better about the soil this way. In Khed, the weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time talking about irrigation and soil health. Our small office is basically just a room with a desk and some chairs where we keep our records. It’s not very organized all the time, but we know where everything is. People from around Pune sometimes stop by to see what we are doing. We are just local farmers who wanted to have a bit more control over where our vegetables and grains go after they leave the field. It’s a lot of physical labor every day. We don't have fancy titles or corporate meetings. We just meet up, drink some tea, and decide what needs to be done for the week. We try to help each other out when things get difficult.
