Tripathi Distributors

We are located at 883/884 on Gadgil Street in Sadashiv Peth. It’s one of those narrow lanes where you really have to know where you’re going or you’ll get lost. Tripathi Distributors has been operating out of this spot for quite some time. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it stays cool inside even when the sun is hitting the street outside. Our daily routine is mostly about checking lists and moving boxes. There is always a stack of paperwork on the wooden table that never seems to get smaller. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people about where their items are. Sometimes the traffic on Gadgil Street gets so backed up that we can’t get our shipments out until late in the evening. We just deal with it. My nephew helps out with the ledger on weekends. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll likely see us counting items or drinking chai. The floors are concrete and they get a bit worn down from the trolley wheels. It’s a simple setup. We try to keep things organized but with so many different items coming in, it gets a bit messy by Friday. We just clean it up on Saturday morning and start the whole thing over again next week. It’s just a regular local business in the heart of the city, nothing flashy or corporate about it.
