We are over in Waghiai Nagar at Shree Ganesh Park, which is near the Sacchai Mata Mandir in Katraj. The shop is on the ground floor and it’s usually packed with old television sets, remote controls, and various spare parts we’ve collected over the years. There is always a smell of hot solder in the air because someone is usually fixing a circuit board at the back bench. We spend a lot of time squinting at small wires and trying to find out why a machine stopped working. It’s messy work and our fingers often get stained with grease or dust from inside the gadgets. The traffic near the temple can be a bit much on weekends, so it gets loud with all the horns honking. We have a few shelves where we keep the things that are ready to be picked up. Sometimes people leave their stuff here for months and forget about it. We don't have any fancy uniforms or a front desk, just a counter where we talk to the customers who walk in from the colony. Most of the folks around Katraj know they can bring their broken electronics here and we will take a look at them. It’s just a small local shop where we try to keep things running for another few years. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time and we’ve seen all sorts of technology come and go.
