Over at Gat No 23/24 in the M.I.D.C. area of Mohan Nagar, you’ll find our place, Torrent Hydraulics Private Limited. It’s right in the middle of the industrial hub, so there is always the sound of machinery or trucks moving in the background. The building itself is quite plain, just a standard setup for a company like ours. We spend most of our hours here dealing with hydraulic parts and making sure everything is moving correctly. It can get pretty hot inside during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and carry on with what needs to be done. We’ve been at this Mohan Nagar location for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the M.I.D.C. estate. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit for a coffee, but for work, it does the job just fine. We have a lot of heavy stuff lying around, so you have to watch where you step when you walk through the main doors. We don’t really do a lot of talking about what we do; we just get on with the repairs or the assembly tasks. Most of our visitors are just people from other nearby factories looking for a quick fix or a specific part. It’s a no-nonsense environment here. We keep our tools within reach and try to keep some kind of order, even if the floor gets greasy now and then. That is just how the day goes for us. We keep a small stove for making tea in the corner to help get through the afternoons.
