We are located at Plot No. 700 in Thomas Colony. It’s out on Dehu Road. We’ve been running Shree Ganesh Furniture from this spot for quite a while. It’s a big plot, which is good because furniture takes up a lot of room. We make all sorts of things like cupboards, tables, and chairs. The air always smells like wood polish and cut timber. It’s a quiet colony for the most part, except when we are hammering away. Dehu Road has its own pace. We aren't in a rush to become some huge company. We like being a local shop where people can just walk in and see what we are making. Sometimes the wood shipments arrive late and we have to adjust our schedule. That is just how it goes. We have a few workers who have been with us since the start. They know the wood better than anyone. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most folks just see the sign on Plot 700 and stop their cars. It’s a straightforward business. We buy wood, we cut it, and we make something useful out of it. Some days are busier than others. When the festive season comes, we are usually working late into the night. It’s tired work but it feels okay when a piece is finished. That’s about all there is to say about us. We just keep working and making things people need.
