Tejas General Store & Gift House

We are located at 186 in the New Bombay Market area of Dapodi. Being near C K Goyal College means we see a lot of students every day. They come in for pens, notebooks, or small gifts for their friends. Tejas General Store & Gift House is a bit of a mix. We have the usual grocery items in one section and then the gift stuff over on the other side. It’s a busy spot because of the market. There’s always noise outside from the street vendors and the traffic. Inside, we try to keep things moving. The shelves are stacked high because we want to make sure we don't run out of the basics. It’s not a glossy supermarket. It’s a local store where you can find a bag of rice and a birthday card in the same trip. Sometimes the boxes are piled up in the aisle while we’re restocking, but customers just walk around them. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the college schedule. It gets very quiet during exams and then very busy during festival times. We don't have any fancy displays. We just put the items out where people can see them. Our family runs the place, so someone is always here to help out. It’s hard work, but we like being right here in the middle of Dapodi. It feels like we’re right where we need to be. We just keep our heads down and serve the people who walk through our door.
