Tata Motors Engineering Research Center

Our research center is situated at Plot No. 139 in the Janata area, specifically Sector 27 of Pradhikaran, Nigdi. This is a quiet part of Pune, under the PCNTDA. While it’s an engineering and research hub, it doesn't feel like a high-tech lab from a movie. It’s a place where engineers spend their days looking at drawings, testing components, and trying to figure out how to make things work better. The atmosphere is usually quite serious and focused. We have been here in Maharashtra for quite a long time. People around Nigdi know the plot well. There’s a lot of coming and going with prototypes and parts. It's not the kind of place that’s open to the public for browsing. We’re tucked away in Sector 27, doing the behind-the-scenes work. The building itself is functional and built for purpose, not for show. We deal with technical problems that take a lot of time to solve. Sometimes we stay late when a project is particularly tricky. It’s just a group of people who are good with math and machines. We don't use a lot of big words or try to impress anyone. The work speaks for itself in the vehicles that eventually hit the road. It’s a steady, practical environment where we focus on the nuts and bolts of engineering every day.
