Symbiosis Institute

Our spot is inside the Symbiosis Infotech Campus at 15 Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjewadi. This part of Pune is basically all tech companies and big office parks, and we are right in the thick of it. The campus is quite large, and it can be a bit of a trek to get from the main gate to our specific area if you are on foot. It’s a modern enough place, but it has that lived-in feel that comes with hundreds of people using it every day. The elevators are always busy, and the corridors have that specific office building smell. We spend most of our time in the classrooms or at our desks, surrounded by computers and cables. Outside, Hinjewadi is always under construction, so there’s usually some dust and the sound of machines in the distance. The staff here is used to the long commutes that everyone in this area complains about. We have a canteen where most people grab a quick lunch, and it’s the main spot for catching up on news. The campus is green in some parts, which is a nice break from the grey buildings around us. We don’t go for anything flashy; we just provide the space and the tools that the students need. It’s a busy, functional environment where the schedule is the most important thing. We’ve seen many groups come and go through these doors over the years in Hinjewadi.
