Bhavani Peth is one of those old parts of the city where the streets are narrow and the buildings are packed together. We are over here by the New Cloth Market. It’s a very busy place, especially in the mornings when the trucks are unloading. There is dust in the air and the sound of people shouting across the street to each other. Our space isn't very big, and we have things stacked up pretty high to make use of the room. It’s mostly just a place of work. We don’t have fancy decorations on the walls or a lounge for people to sit in. You’ll usually find us at the main desk or back in the storage area moving things around. The light in here isn't the best, so we use these bright fluorescent bulbs that hum a little bit. It’s been our base for a while now. We know the tea seller around the corner and the guys who handle the cloth deliveries. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the back door, so we have to put a bucket there. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. People who need us know exactly where to find us in the market. It’s a lot of routine, but there’s a comfort in that.
