Suraj Novelties & General Stores

We are over on 2nd Cross Godown Street in Aundh. Suraj Novelties & General Stores is a bit of a mix of everything. We have been here for a long time now. Aundh used to be much quieter than it is today. Now there are cars everywhere, but our little street stays mostly the same. We sell general items like soap, toothpaste, and notebooks, but we also have the novelty stuff like small toys and gifts. My brother and I take turns at the counter. It is a long day from 9 am to 9 pm, but we are used to it. The shop is a bit dark inside because the building is old, but we have enough lights to see. We do not have a website or any of those modern things. We just talk to the people who walk through the door. Sometimes the inventory is a bit of a mess, especially after we get a new delivery of goods. We just stack the boxes where they fit. People in the area know they can come here if they forgot to buy something for their kitchen or if their kid needs a pen for school. We do not make a big fuss about things. It is just a local store where we try to have what people need. We know which neighbors like which brands. It is a simple life running a general store.
