Supriya Plastic Industries

Out here at Khadakwasla, the air is a bit different than the city center. Supriya Plastic Industries is located at plot 29, and it’s basically a big shed full of molding machines. When the heaters are on, it gets quite warm inside, even during the winter months. We spend the day watching the cycles, making sure the plastic flows right and the shapes come out like they are supposed to. There is always a pile of raw granules in one corner and boxes of finished parts in the other. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but you have to pay attention or things go wrong quickly. Most of us who work here have been doing this for a long time, so we know the sounds of the machines by heart. If something clicks wrong, someone is on it pretty fast. We don’t really have a big sales team or anything like that. People who need plastic parts usually just find us through word of mouth or by being in the same industrial zone. It’s a practical kind of business. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or office furniture because the work happens on the floor. Lunch is usually eaten together near the back door where it’s a bit cooler. It’s just a group of people making things and trying to keep the machines running smooth every day. We focus on the production and getting the orders out of the gate on time.
