Our workshop, Sunkist Moulders, is out in Chakan at 625/1/5. Chakan is a big industrial area, so there are shops like ours everywhere. We aren't a massive factory with thousands of workers. It’s just a small team of us working with moulds and machines. The place is usually pretty loud because of the equipment running all day. There is always a smell of hot plastic or metal in the air, but you get used to it after the first week. We don't have a fancy lobby or any air conditioning in the work area. It gets hot, especially in the afternoons, so we drink a lot of tea and keep the doors open for whatever breeze we can get. We spend a lot of time checking the pieces to make sure they aren't warped or broken. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the day fixing it ourselves. It’s greasy, heavy work and our clothes usually have stains on them by the end of the shift. We just focus on getting the orders done for the people who hire us. We don't do any big advertising. Most of our work comes from people who know we are here at this spot in Chakan. It’s just a regular workshop where we put in our hours and go home tired. It's honest work and we take it one day at a time. Keeping the machines running and the floor swept is all we really do at the end of the shift.
