Suman Herbs Garden Development & Nursery

Suman Herbs Garden Development & Nursery is tucked away in Dhayari, specifically on K N Dutta Marg near the last bus stop at Samrudhi Homes. It is a lot of dirt and water here, which I like more than being in a crowded city office. My boots are always muddy and my fingernails are never really clean because I am always digging around in the soil. We have rows of saplings and herbs that need a lot of attention, especially when the sun is beating down on Dhayari. It’s quiet out here compared to the main city, and you can hear the birds most of the time. I spend my mornings walking around with a hose, making sure everything has enough water. Sometimes people wander in from Samrudhi Homes just to look at the green plants and ask what grows best in this soil. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just the plants sitting in their black plastic bags on the ground. It’s hard work on the back, bending over all day to repot things or clear out the weeds. But seeing things grow makes it feel alright at the end of the day. If you get to the last bus stop, you are pretty much right there. We just keep the nursery going day by day, watching the seasons change and trying to keep the bugs away from the herbs. It’s a simple, messy way to spend the day and it suits me and the staff just fine.
