Sujal Gents Parlour

You can find us in Dhankawadi near the Ganeshnand Apartment in Gulab Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street most days unless there is a festival going on. The shop is small and has two main chairs for the customers. I have a television in the corner that is almost always tuned to the news or a cricket match. The floor is made of old tiles that have some cracks in them but they are easy to wash. We have all the usual stuff like combs, razors, and different kinds of aftershave that smell like lemons. Most of the men who come in are regulars who live in the apartments right behind us. We know their names and how they like their hair cut without even asking anymore. Sometimes the kids come in after school and they can be quite loud while they wait for their fathers. The mirrors have some spots on them that I can't seem to get off but you can still see yourself well enough. I start work early and usually close up once the streetlights come on. It isn't a fancy place with air conditioning but we have a good fan that keeps the flies away. It is just a place to get a shave and talk about the day’s events with someone who listens. We have been here a long time and the neighborhood knows where we are.
