Star One India

We are located in Bhavani Peth, right inside the Guru Nanak Dev Market. It’s near the Steel Line Ad Camp Chowk, which is a very busy intersection. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know it’s a hub for all sorts of trade. At Star One India, we operate out of a space that is constantly filled with boxes and packing material. There isn't much room for a fancy office setup, so we mostly work amidst the stock. The market is loud, with people shouting and horns honking all day, but we’ve learned to tune it out. We do a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. It’s a practical environment. We don't have a polished website or a team of sales people in suits. It's just us in our work clothes, making sure the orders are filled and the accounts are right. Some days it feels like we are just fighting against the chaos of the market, but we always manage to get things sorted by the time we close up. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually our only break. We’ve been at this spot for a while and we know the rhythms of the chowk. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and we like the independence of running our own show here in the heart of Bhavani Peth. We just take it one day at a time.
