We are Smu Farmer Producer Company Limited and we work out of Gat Number 1128 in Wanewadi. You’ll find us right near Harnai Chowk in the Baramati area of Pune Rural. It’s a busy spot, and we like being right in the middle of things. Most of us involved in the company have roots in Baramati, so we care about what happens here. The company was set up to help local producers get their goods to market without so much hassle. We aren't experts in everything, but we know our way around a farm and we know how to handle the logistics. The office can get pretty loud when everyone is there at once, but it’s a good kind of energy. We don't use a lot of corporate jargon or try to sound more important than we are. We're just regular people trying to keep the agricultural business moving forward in Wanewadi. Sometimes the machines break or the trucks are late, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s our system. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers and seeing what they need. It’s about being there on the ground and seeing things for ourselves.
