Smart Computers

We’ve been here at 3 Viswas Apt on Sinhagad Rd for quite some time now. Vadgaon Budruk is a busy area and there’s always something going on outside the shop. Most days, it’s just us surrounded by open computer cases and various cables scattered across the desks. People from the nearby apartments walk in because their laptop screen went dark or their desktop is making a weird noise. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just a workspace where we try to figure out why things aren’t working. Sometimes we can fix a motherboard in an hour and other times we have to tell someone their hard drive is totally gone, which is never a fun conversation. We’ve seen all kinds of machines come through the door, from old towers that weigh a ton to the newer thin laptops that are a pain to open up. The traffic on Sinhagad Road can be a nightmare during peak hours, so we usually just stay put and keep working until things quiet down. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who actually know our way around a circuit board. We don’t do much advertising, mostly just folks telling their neighbors about us. It gets dusty pretty quick with all the fans running, so we spend a decent amount of time just cleaning parts out. That’s pretty much how it goes here every day. We just keep at it.
