Smaartz Architect & Interior Designer

Smaartz Architect & Interior Designer is on the first floor of Moreshwar Apt in Sadashiv Peth. We are quite close to Tilak Smarak, which is a landmark most people in Pune know well. The office is a bit tucked away, but once you climb the stairs, you will find us. We have been doing architecture and interior work here for a while. The space is filled with drawing boards, some old computers, and a lot of samples of wood and tiles. It gets a bit crowded when we have a few projects going at once. We aren't the type of firm that has a polished showroom. It is more of a workshop feel where we are constantly sketching things out. Sadashiv Peth is a traditional neighborhood and we like being part of it. You can hear the sounds of the street all day, from the scooters to the local vendors. We don't use much fancy talk when we meet people. We just look at the floor plans and talk about what can actually be built. Sometimes a client’s idea doesn't work with the plumbing or the walls, and we just tell them that directly. We find that being honest about what is possible saves everyone a lot of trouble later on. We usually work until late in the evening to get the drawings finished. It is just how we operate. We are just local people trying to make spaces look a bit better.
