We are based over here at 1527 Padali in Shirur. Most people around here know us as Shrushti Agro Producer Company Limited. It's just a group of us working together on the land. We spend a lot of our time dealing with crops and trying to figure out the best way to keep things moving. The weather is always a factor, but we manage. Shirur is a quiet place and we like it that way. Being an agro producer means we are always busy with the seasons. Sometimes the days are long, especially when there's a lot to harvest or plant. We don't have a big fancy office, just the spot in Padali. It’s mostly just hard work and keeping track of what’s growing. We've been at this for a while now. Some days are better than others, but that's how it goes in this business. We handle a lot of the day-to-day stuff ourselves. If you come by Padali, you'll see what we're up to. It's not complicated, just people trying to make a living from the earth. The road to Padali can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we have to watch out for the trucks getting stuck. We have a small shed where we keep the records and some seeds. It’s not much to look at, but it’s ours. Most of us have been in Shirur our whole lives. We know the soil here and what it needs. Sometimes we sit around after work and talk about how the prices are changing or how the rain was late.
