Our classes are held in the Chinchwadagaon area, not too far from Churchgate. It is a basic setup with some wooden benches and a few boards for writing. We started this because there was a need for a local place where students could go to get their questions answered. The room usually smells a bit like chalk dust and old paper. Since we are near Churchgate, you can often hear the distant sound of the trains passing by, which sort of becomes background noise after you have been here a few weeks. We get students coming in from the nearby schools, usually carrying heavy bags and looking for a place to sit and focus. It is not a high-tech environment with computers at every desk. We mostly use books and pens and just talk through the problems. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the small space, especially when an exam is coming up and everyone wants extra time. We try to keep the atmosphere calm so the kids can actually learn something. There is a small tea stall nearby where we usually grab a quick drink during the breaks. It is just a regular part of the neighborhood where people come to put in the work. We have been doing this for a while now and have seen many groups of students pass through these doors. It is simple, steady work that keeps us busy from morning until quite late in the evening.
