Shringar Beauty Parlour

Shringar Beauty Parlour is right in the middle of the Camp area on Center Street. If you know Pune, you know how loud and busy this street gets. We have been here for years, tucked away where the locals know to find us. It's a small place, but we make it work with the space we have. Most days start with me cleaning the mirrors and setting out the threads and creams. We get a lot of women coming in for basic things like eyebrows or a quick hair wash. During the wedding season, it gets really hectic and the phone doesn't stop ringing. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name on the door. The lighting inside is a bit bright so we can see what we are doing clearly. Sometimes the neighbors from the other shops come by for a chat when it's quiet. We don't try to be like those big fancy salons you see in malls. It’s just a practical spot for regular people who live or work nearby. We use simple products that everyone knows. Usually, we are open until late evening because that’s when most people finish their work and come by. It’s a lot of standing and moving around, but that is just how the job is. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things organized.
