Shrinath Salon

We have been here in Sadashiv Peth for a while now. The shop isn't fancy, just a few chairs and some mirrors on the wall. Usually, it gets pretty crowded on weekends because everyone in Pune seems to want a haircut at the same time. You can hear the scooters outside all day long. My father started this place and I just took over. We don't have a big team, just a couple of guys who know how to use a pair of scissors. Most people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood. They sit down, talk about the weather or the local news, and we get to work. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but nobody really minds. We keep the floor swept as much as we can, though hair gets everywhere by noon. It is just a simple place to get a trim or a shave. We don't do anything too crazy with styles, just what people ask for. The tea stall next door is where we get our morning chai. It is a small space but it works for us. Life in this part of Pune is fast, but inside the salon, things feel a bit slower. We just try to keep the tools sharp and the chairs comfortable for whoever walks in. That is basically it, nothing more to say really.
