Shri Samarth Gents Parlour

Shri Samarth Gents Parlour is over at Vijayashri Apartment on the Pune Satara Road. We are in the Balaji Nagar-Dhankawadi area, which is a pretty busy part of Pune. Being near Pawar Hospital makes it easy for people to find us when they are passing through Balaji Nagar. The shop isn't very large, but we have enough chairs to keep things moving. We mostly see the same faces every few weeks for their regular haircuts or a quick shave. It’s a place where guys can just sit down and not have to worry about much for twenty minutes. We keep the mirrors clean and the floor swept as much as possible, though hair gets everywhere during the busy afternoon rush. The traffic on Pune Satara Road can be a nightmare sometimes, so we hear the honking cars all day long while we work. It’s just a standard gents parlour with no bells or whistles. We use the basic tools and try to do a decent job so people come back next time. Sometimes the news is on the small TV in the corner, and people talk about the local sports or the weather. It is a neighborhood spot through and through. We’ve been at Vijayashri Apartment for a while now, and we’ve become part of the daily rhythm of this little corner of Balaji Nagar. It’s just us, the scissors, and the local crowd. We stay open pretty late to catch the people coming home from work.
