Working out of Kasba Peth at 1/59/64, we spend most of our hours around the machines and the tool benches. It’s an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and it can get a bit loud with all the activity around us. We’ve been handling plastic moulds here for a while now. The workshop isn't the cleanest place in the world, there is always some dust or a bit of scrap lying around, but that is just part of the job. We take the orders as they come and try to get the work finished without too much fuss. Sometimes a mould takes longer than expected or a machine acts up, and we just have to sit there and fix it ourselves. We don't have a big front office or anyone to answer the phones in a fancy way. Usually, someone is just wiping their hands on a rag before they can even talk to a visitor. It is practical work. We deal with various shapes and sizes, whatever the customer needs for their own production. The location in Kasba Peth means we are right in the heart of things, which is handy for getting supplies. We just keep our heads down and do the work, making sure the pieces come out right. It’s not a glamorous business, but it’s what we know how to do. Most days, we just have tea together in the afternoon and then get back to the grind until it's time to head home.
