We are over in the Parwal Building in Ganesh Peth. Our shop is right at Parihar Chowk, very close to the Dulya Maruti Temple. You can usually hear the temple bells from our front door. It’s a very traditional part of the city, and it gets extremely crowded during festival times. Inside our place, it’s all about the machines. We have digital printers and computers running most of the time. The air smells like ink and warm paper. We do a lot of printing for the local shops and people in the neighborhood. Ganesh Peth is a place where everyone is doing some kind of business, so there is always a demand for bills, cards, or posters. We spend a lot of time staring at screens and making sure the colors look okay on the paper. It’s not a quiet job because the printers make a lot of noise when they are going fast. We have stacks of paper everywhere and boxes waiting to be picked up. Sometimes the shop gets so full of people that it’s hard to move around. We just keep working through the pile of orders as they come in. Being near the temple is nice; it gives a good feeling to the area. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the street. It’s busy, messy, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
