Shivsrushti Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is run by a group of us women here in Jategaon. We are located at house number 653, in the Nandgaon area of Nashik district. Usually, the men handle the business side of things, but we decided it was time for us to take charge of our own farming work. We grow a lot of things here, and it’s hard work balancing the farm with everything else we have to do at home. Our office isn't much to look at, just a room where we keep our records and meet to talk about the crops. We don't have any fancy marketing slogans or a big corporate plan. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of and that we get a fair price for what we produce. Nashik is a good place for farming, but it has its challenges like anywhere else. We spend a lot of time talking about fertilizers, water, and how to get our goods to the market without spending too much on transport. It's a learning curve for all of us, and we're figuring out the business side as we go. We support each other because that’s how things get done in a village like ours. We’re just a group of local women trying to build something for our kids and the future of our village. It takes a lot of patience.
