Shivprasanna Farmer Producer Company Limited

Nimgaon Savat is a quiet place for the most part, tucked away in Junnar. We are based out of House Number 42 near the post office. Shivprasanna Farmer Producer Company Limited came about because a few of us were tired of the middleman taking everything. Junnar is known for its farming, but that doesn't mean it is easy. The hills around here make for some beautiful views, but they also mean the land can be tricky to work. We spend our days out there, checking the crops and worrying about the electricity for the pumps. It seems like there is always a fuse blowing or a line down. At the house, we try to keep track of what everyone is producing so we can sell it together. It is a lot of talking and sitting around on plastic chairs, trying to make sense of the new rules and prices. We aren't experts at the business stuff, we just know how to grow things. We have had some bad years where the rain just washed everything away, but that’s just part of the risk you take. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to trust each other a bit more. It’s not a fancy operation, just some mud on our boots and some hope that this year will be a bit better than the last one.
