Shivjanmbhumi Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based in Khanapur, which is over in the Junnar area. If you're looking for us, we're usually at Madhukar Savaleram Bhagat’s place. We named the company Shivjanmbhumi Farmer Producer Company Limited because we are proud of where we come from. Junnar is a good place for farming, but it still has its challenges like anywhere else. We are mostly small-scale farmers who decided that joining up was the best way to get things done. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks like a big city firm. It’s just us. We talk about what crops are doing well and how we can get a better handle on our costs. Sometimes we get together to buy supplies in bulk so it’s a bit cheaper for everyone. It’s not always easy to get everyone on the same page, but we manage. The village life is busy in its own way, especially during harvest time. We don't use much big talk here. We just focus on the soil and the rain and making sure we can support our families. Being a producer company means we share the work and the results. It's been a learning process for all of us, figuring out the paperwork and the rules, but we are getting there. Most days involve a lot of walking and talking to neighbors about the market prices. We hope to keep this going for a long time.
