This company, Shiv Swarajya Fish Farmers Producer Company Limited, is a bit different because we focus on fish. We are based at Vijaya Yuvraj Chavan's house, which is House No. 1058 in Pait. Pait is in the Khed taluka, and we have been working with water and fish for a while now. It is not like regular farming on land where you worry about soil. You have to worry about the tanks, the water quality, and the feed all the time. Our group started because we saw an opportunity in the 410505 area. We aren't some big seafood exporter. We are just local guys and women who have some ponds and want to sell our fish at the market. Meeting at the house is just easier than renting a big office we don't really need. You'll usually find someone there cleaning nets or talking about the current price of fish fry. It is a messy business, and it smells like the outdoors. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just want to make a living for ourselves. The work is physical and you get wet and dirty every single day. Sometimes the fish get sick and we lose a lot, which is very discouraging. But then you have a good season and it feels worth the effort. We are just a small group of neighbors in Pait trying to keep our fish farming going through the year.
