You can find us on the first floor of Renuka Akruti on Datta Mandir Road in Wakad. We’re right above the Vitalife Clinic and directly across from Manthan Sweets, so it’s easy to spot. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re inside, it’s a lot quieter than the street outside. We have a few rooms set up for different things like facials or hair washes. The staff stays busy with threading and waxing mostly. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but the girls who work here are used to it. We keep a lot of different bottles and jars on the shelves, and there's always that scent of hairspray and herbal creams in the air. The windows look out over the road, so you can watch the traffic while you’re waiting for your hair color to set. It gets pretty hectic on Saturdays when everyone wants to get ready for a wedding or a party. We try to keep everything neat, though sometimes the towels pile up faster than we can wash them. It’s just a local spot for women in Wakad to get their grooming done. We’ve been here for a bit now and have some regular faces who come every month. It’s a simple business. We don't have any fancy music, just the sound of people talking and the blow dryer going.
