Shilpai Agro Farmer Producer Company is over in Moti Nagar, Latur. We use the address of Namdevrao Krishnaji Koyale for all our company stuff. Latur is a big hub for farming, and we wanted to organize ourselves properly to be a part of it. It all started when a few of us realized that individual farming was becoming a losing game. The prices for everything we need to grow our crops just keep going up. We formed this producer company to see if we could share those costs and help each other out. It isn't like a big city business with a lobby and secretaries. We are just farmers. We speak the language of the ground and the seasons. Some years are good and some are very difficult when the rain doesn't fall right. Having this group helps us not feel so alone when things go wrong. We keep all our folders and records at the Moti Nagar office. It’s a very basic space with just some chairs and a table. We don't have any fancy stuff there. We are just trying to be direct and honest with our work. There is a lot to learn about the business side of things, but we are doing our best. Mostly we just care about getting the crops grown so we can provide for our homes. It’s practical work and we do it together as neighbors and friends.
