Shilpa Plast Technologies

Our factory is at 95/1 in Bhosari, which is where we do all the work for Shilpa Plast Technologies. The building is pretty plain from the outside, but inside we have our molding machines and all the plastic materials we use. It’s quite a noisy environment when the production lines are running, but that’s just how it goes in this industry. We spend a lot of our time monitoring the heat and the timing for different parts. There are bags of raw plastic pellets stacked up against the walls and finished pieces waiting to be packed into boxes. It’s not the cleanest job in the world because of the dust and the heat from the machines. We have a small crew of workers who know exactly how to handle the equipment. Most of our day is spent making sure the parts look okay and the machines aren't acting up. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy lobby for visitors. Usually, if someone comes to see us, they walk straight into the work area. We deal mostly with other manufacturers who need specific plastic components for their own products. It is practical, repetitive work that requires a lot of attention to detail even when it gets boring. We’ve been in Bhosari long enough to feel like a part of the landscape. It's just us doing our thing day after day without making much of a fuss about it or pretending to be something we aren't.
