Shilpa Beauty Parlour

Shilpa Beauty Parlour is a small place located right near the Corn Club on the Main Road in Sadashiv Peth. If you know Pune, you know how crowded Sadashiv Peth can get, especially in the evenings. Our shop is easy to spot once you are on the main road. It isn't a very large space, just enough for a couple of chairs, some mirrors, and the basic equipment we need for haircuts and threading. I started this parlour because I wanted something of my own in the neighborhood. Most of our customers are women who live nearby and just walk over for their regular grooming. We don't do anything too fancy here, just the usual stuff like facials, waxing, and hair trims. The morning starts with cleaning the mirrors and setting out the towels. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just how things go in this part of town. We have a small bench for people to wait on, and there’s usually a stack of old magazines to look through. The noise from the main road is always there, but we are used to it by now. It’s a honest living and I enjoy talking to the regulars who have been coming to me for years. We try to keep the place tidy and welcoming without making it look too corporate or cold.
