Shekharu Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically a group from Ghodegaon, which is in the Ambegaon area of Pune. We are located at house number 400. It is a local effort. We have a lot of hills and good land around here, and most of us have been farming for years. Being a producer company means we can buy things in bulk, which saves a bit of money. It is hard to do things alone these days. We decided to register this because we wanted a proper structure for our work. People in the village know us as neighbors first. Our office is just a spot where we can sit and talk about the harvest. We deal with whatever is growing in the season, whether it's vegetables or grains. It’s a bit messy sometimes, trying to get everyone on the same page, but that’s how village life is. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. Usually, it's just us drinking tea and talking about the rain or the market prices in Pune city. We are trying to keep the young people interested in farming too. It is not always easy work, and the money is up and down. But having this company helps us feel a bit more secure. If you’re ever in Ghodegaon, you’ll see our place near the post office area. We just keep things moving one day at a time, looking out for each other and making sure the work gets done correctly.
