Sharma Novelties sits at 610 Kapad Gunj, which is right in that busy pocket of Raviwar Peth. The address says 3rd Main, 7th Cross in Chamarajpet, but we are right here in the middle of all the market hustle. This area is always crowded with people buying clothes and household stuff, and we fit right in with our small collection of novelties. The shop is tucked away a bit, so you really have to be looking for it or just happen to walk by while exploring the lanes. It’s an old building, the kind you find all over this part of Bangalore, with narrow stairs and lots of history in the walls. We spend most of our day just moving boxes around and talking to the regulars who have been coming to this market for years. It’s not a quiet place at all; there is always the sound of carts and people shouting out prices. We don't have a website or any of that new stuff, just the physical shop where we sit every day. Sometimes we get stuff in that we didn't even remember ordering, and it takes a while to find a spot for it on the shelves. The 7th Cross can be a bit confusing if you’re not from around here, but once you find Kapad Gunj, it’s easier. We just do our work, drink our tea, and wait for the evening rush to die down before heading home.
