Shankar Gift Articels is located in Samarth Nagar, over in Navi Sangvi. It’s a familiar spot for the people who live around here. We carry a bit of everything when it comes to small gifts and decorative articles. The shop is right on the street, so you can see all the items through the glass front. Most days, I’m here from the morning until late at night. Navi Sangvi is a busy area, especially in the evenings when everyone is out for a walk. I’ve got shelves lined with clocks, showpieces, and frames. It’s not always perfectly neat because new stock comes in and I just have to find a place for it. People from Samarth Nagar usually come in when they need something for a housewarming or a wedding. I’ve seen kids grow up in this neighborhood, coming in first for small toys and now for things to decorate their own rooms. The lighting in the shop is a bit bright, but it helps show off the items. I don't really do much advertising; people just know we're here next to the other local shops. Sometimes the rains make the street outside a bit muddy, but the customers still find their way in. It’s just a regular shop where we try to keep a good variety of things that don’t cost too much. I enjoy the daily chats with the regulars who stop by just to say hello and see what is new on the shelves.
