Shamadarbaba Farmers Producer Company Limited is located at Gut Number 327 in Eklahare. That’s over in the Ambegaon area of Pune. We’ve been set up here for a while to help with the local farming production. It’s not a big city office. We are right in the middle of where the work happens. Being out in Ambegaon means we see the fields every day. Our building is simple and we don’t have any marketing people or fancy desks. We just have the space we need to store some things and do our books. The area is fairly quiet until the harvest season starts. Then, Gut No 327 gets a lot of visitors and tractors coming through. We handle a lot of the logistical stuff that individual farmers find hard to do on their own. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We are just local people from Pune who know about agriculture. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, but we manage to get things done anyway. Our address in Eklahare is where you will find us most days of the week. We keep things pretty straightforward and don't try to dress it up. If there’s work to be done, we do it. It’s been a learning process for all of us since we started this producer company. We just keep moving forward. We have a small crew and everyone knows their job, which makes things easier when the pressure is on.
