Sham Patil Farmer Producer Company Limited

I’m writing this from Isrul, a small place in Deulgaon Raja. Most of us here have spent our whole lives in the fields. We started Sham Patil Farmer Producer Company Limited because it felt like the right time to do something together. Shankar Shesrao Bhutekar’s place is where we mostly handle the paperwork and sit down to talk. Farming is hard work, everyone knows that. One day you have rain, the next day you’re waiting for it. We grow what we can and try to make sure nothing goes to waste. It’s mostly just us neighbors figuring things out as we go along. In Buldhana, the soil is okay but you really have to work it. We don't have fancy offices or a big team of experts. It is just the local men from the village trying to sell our crops without getting lost in the middle. Sometimes we meet under the big tree near the house to decide who is going to the market. We have had our share of bad years, but we keep going. The paperwork side is a bit of a headache sometimes, honestly. But we stay at it because there isn't much else to do but farm. If you come by Isrul, you’ll see we are just regular people. We don’t want to be anything more than what we are. Just farmers working hard.
