Shalmali Salaon & Spa

Shalmali Salaon & Spa is situated on Jangali Maharaj Road in Pune. We are in a building called Laxmi Savan, at 1263/1. It’s easy to find us because we are right opposite Sai Service and next door to the Mathura Dining Hall. J.M. Road is one of the busiest streets in Pune, so there is always a lot of noise and people walking by. Our shop is a bit small, but we have made it work. We do hair and some basic spa services like massages and facials. The floor is made of wood and it makes a little noise when you walk on it. We have a few old chairs and some shelves where we keep the towels and oils. The staff is just a small group of us who have been together for years. We don't wear uniforms, just our regular clothes. Sometimes the smell of food from the dining hall next door comes into the shop, which can be a bit distracting. We have a few plants in the window to make it look a bit nicer, but they struggle with the city soot. Most of our customers are people who work in the offices nearby or who are shopping on J.M. Road. It’s a practical place to come if you need a haircut without any of the fancy drama of the big chains. We just do our work and go home.
