Shailesh Mens Parlour

Shailesh Mens Parlour has been around in Bibvewadi for quite some time now. You can find us at Shivrai Nagar, right on the Upper Kondhwa Road. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough chairs for the guys who come in for their weekly haircut or a quick shave. Usually, the mornings are slow, so I spend that time cleaning the mirrors and getting the tools ready. By evening, it gets crowded with people coming back from work. We talk about everything from cricket to the weather while I work. I’ve lived in Pune my whole life, so I know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s a basic setup, nothing like those expensive malls. We keep the fans running and the radio on usually. Sometimes the kids from Survey No 658/9 come in and they can never sit still in the chair. It takes patience. My hands are used to the scissors and the clippers after all these years. We don't do anything fancy, just standard cuts that people ask for. If you're looking for a place where you can just sit down, get your hair trimmed, and have a normal conversation, that's what we do here. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We open early and close when the last customer is done. It's just a regular local shop for the neighborhood guys and their families.
