Shah Rubbers

You can find us over at the Rachnaind Complex in Bhosari, right at number 14. This area is mostly industrial, so it’s always got that smell of oil and machinery in the air. We deal with all sorts of rubber parts and pieces. If you walk into the shop, you will see stacks of gaskets, hoses, and odd-shaped rubber bits piled up on the metal shelves. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but we know exactly where everything is located. Most of our days are spent talking to mechanics or factory guys who need a specific seal for a machine that broke down. We’ve got a heavy old desk where we do all the billing and phone calls throughout the day. The light in the back of the shop flickers sometimes, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet because we are usually too busy. It’s just me and a couple of helpers who have been with us for years. We don't do much advertising; people just find us through word of mouth or because they are already in the complex for something else. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, so we usually have the big shutter open to catch a breeze. We just focus on getting the right rubber parts to the people who need them so they can get back to their own work. It is simple and practical work. (244 words)
