Selfreliance Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is located on the ground floor of Plot No. 14/B at Sr. No. 38/6 in Yashwant Nagar, Kharadi. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for our members to drop in without having to climb any stairs, which is nice when they're carrying samples or heavy bags. Kharadi has changed a lot over the years with all the new buildings, but our little corner remains pretty focused on the farming side of things. We work with a bunch of different farmers, trying to get everyone organized so we can sell our stuff together. It's a lot of coordination and phone calls. The office is usually a bit messy with flyers and local farming news. We don't have a receptionist or anyone like that. Usually, whoever is nearest the door just gets up to say hello. We talk about crop rotations and market prices over tea. It's not a high-pressure environment. We're just trying to be more self-reliant, like the name says. Some days are slow and we just catch up on maintenance, and other days it's a mad rush to get a truck loaded. We've had our share of ups and downs with the weather lately, but we keep showing up. It's just a regular local business trying to do right by the folks who grow the crops in our area.
