Seet Cashew Industries

We are located over at 614/28 on Nigdi Deodar Road, near L N Road in the Matunga area. Our work revolves around cashews—sorting them, cleaning them, and getting them ready for people to buy. It’s a very specific kind of business that requires a lot of attention to detail. The smell of raw cashews is something you get used to pretty quickly when you work here every day. Our space isn't huge, but we have the equipment we need to process the nuts properly. It’s a lot of manual work, making sure the quality is okay and that nothing bad gets through to the final bags. We deal with suppliers and then try to get the finished cashews out to the local markets or whoever needs them. Matunga is a busy place, and our location on L N Road keeps us in the middle of things. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just a few workers who have been with us for a long time. We spend our days checking bags and running the shellers. It’s not glamorous work, and sometimes the dust from the shells gets everywhere. We just focus on doing things the way we’ve always done them. People know us for being consistent. We don’t really have a marketing plan or anything fancy like that. We just show up at the Shriharsh building area and get to work on the next batch of cashews that comes in from the farms.
