Scissor Mens Salon

Our shop, Scissor Mens Salon, is located in the S Y Grace Building over in Kondhwa Khurd. We are right at Survey No 11/9/14, which is basically opposite the Hero Honda showroom if you are coming off Nibm Road. Kausar Baug is right there too, so we get a lot of people from the neighborhood. The shop isn't massive, but we’ve got enough space for the barber chairs and a place for people to sit while they wait. It’s a busy area with all the traffic going towards Nibm, so there’s always something to look at through the front window. Most of the guys come in for a shave or a quick haircut after work. We keep the radio on most of the time, playing whatever is popular, and we just go about our business. It gets dusty because of the road, so we are always cleaning the mirrors and the glass. We don't have any fancy mission or anything. We just open up in the morning, wait for the first customer, and keep going until it's time to close the shutters at night. It’s honest work and we’ve gotten to know the people around Kondhwa quite well over the months. Sometimes it’s just one person in the chair, and other times the whole bench is full. We just take it as it comes every day and try to keep our scissors sharp.
