Saraswati Chandra Enterprises

We set up Saraswati Chandra Enterprises right across from the Shiv Sena office in Chakan. It is a busy part of the town with lots of movement every day. We handle a variety of business needs for the local area here. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking on orders that need to go out. The space we have is functional and doesn't have much in the way of decoration. We have a couple of chairs for visitors and a sturdy desk where most of the paperwork happens. Chakan is a place where people work hard and we try to do the same. We don’t use any complicated systems, just some ledgers and a basic computer setup to keep track of things. Sometimes the power goes out but we just wait for it to come back and keep going. It is not a flashy office by any means. We have some dust from the road that comes in when the door is open but that is just how it is here. We know the people in the neighboring shops and sometimes we share a tea in the afternoon. We started this enterprise because we wanted to work for ourselves and stay close to home. It is steady work and we are glad to be part of the community in this specific corner of Chakan. Our neighbors know us well and we often help each other out.
