We are Saraswati Book Company. Our shop is number 129 in Budhwar Peth. We are very close to the Jogeshwari Temple. You can usually hear the temple bells if you stand by the door at the right time of day. It’s a nice area with a lot of tradition. Our shop is small but we pack a lot into it. There are books everywhere you look. Sometimes the stacks get a bit high and we have to move things around to find what someone is looking for. We aren't a big chain. It's just us in this one spot. We spend our days talking to people who come in after visiting the temple. Budhwar Peth is a crowded place, especially on weekends. We try to keep the shop organized, but it’s a constant job. There’s always someone coming in to browse or ask a question. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes by Shop No-129. It’s a simple way to live. We’ve been here for a long time and we know the neighborhood well. The light in the shop is a bit dim sometimes, but it makes it feel cozy. We like it here in Budhwar Peth near the temple. It’s a good life for us. We know most of the people on the street by name now. It’s not about making a huge profit every single day. We just stay here.
