Our office is number 393 inside Gundesa Residency. We are located right behind Laxmi Road in Narayan Peth, which is a very busy part of town. If you know where Patra Maruti is, we are just a short walk from there. This area is famous for all sorts of printing and book work, so we fit right in. The office isn't very large, but we have piles of books and manuscripts everywhere. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We spend our days talking to authors and looking over proofs. It’s a lot of sitting and reading, then a lot of rushing around to get things to the printers. The street outside is always packed with scooters and people shopping, but it gets quieter once you step into the residency building. We’ve been here for a good while and know all the other shopkeepers around. Sometimes we grab a tea from the stall at the corner and talk about how the business is changing. It’s a lot of detail work, making sure the typos are gone and the pages are straight. We don't use any high-tech gadgets for our about us page, because we prefer just telling it like it is. We work hard, we stay late sometimes, and we get the books out. That’s really all there is to it. Our space might be small and full of paper, but we get the job done right eventually.
