Santnagari Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

We started this thing here in Shegaon because we noticed a lot of the folks around Bhongaon needed a better way to get things done together. My name is Anil Gulabrao Shelke, and we mostly work out of my place right now. It is not a big office or anything fancy, just a room where we sit down and talk about the crops and how to handle the harvest this year. Farming is hard work, and everyone knows that. We just figured that if a bunch of us got together under the Santnagari Agro name, maybe we could figure out how to get better prices or find tools that one person cannot buy alone. Lately, we have been looking at how to deal with the weather being so unpredictable. Sometimes the rain comes late, and other times it does not come at all. We spend a lot of time just chatting about what seed works in this soil. It is really just a group of neighbors trying to help each other out so we do not all struggle separately. We do not have a big website or a team of people in suits. It is just us farmers trying to make a living and keep our families fed. If you happen to be passing through the Bhongaon area, you will see us. We are usually just out in the fields or sitting by the shed planning the next month. It takes time to build something like this, but we are getting there.
