Sana Mens Parlor

If you walk over to Kharadi Chowk in Ashoka Nagar, you’ll find us. Sana Mens Parlor isn’t one of those high-end salons with fancy chairs and expensive coffee. It’s just a regular place where men come to get their hair cut or a shave. We’ve been here in Pune 411001 for a while, and the neighborhood knows us. The shop has the usual mirrors and the smell of talcum powder and shave cream. It gets busy on weekends, especially in the mornings when everyone realizes they need a trim before work on Monday. We usually have the radio playing or some local news on the small TV. People sit on the bench, wait their turn, and chat about whatever is happening in Kharadi. The chairs have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of guys who know how to use a pair of scissors and a razor. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but it’s fine. We know most of the faces that come through the door. Some kids have grown up coming here for their first haircuts. It’s just a neighborhood spot. No need to book weeks in advance or anything like that. Just show up, wait a bit if there's a queue, and we’ll get it done. It’s a straightforward life here at the chowk. We enjoy the work and the regulars make the time go by faster.
