Sana Elastomers

Down in the M.I.D.C. Bhosari area, there’s a building called the Moraya Co-Op Industrial Estate. We are on the ground floor, Shop No. 2, which makes things a lot easier when we have to load and unload materials. Being Sana Elastomers means we deal with a lot of flexible materials and gaskets. The shop is a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment packed into a small space, but we know where everything is. You have to walk through a narrow corridor to get to the back where the main work happens. It’s usually pretty loud because the unit next door does metal stamping, so we have to shout sometimes to be heard. We’re not the kind of place that has a fancy showroom. If you come to visit, you’ll likely see us sitting on stools at the workbenches, carefully trimming the edges of rubber seals. We take our tea breaks together outside on the pavement just to get some fresh air. It’s a small team, and we’ve all been through the ups and downs of the business together. Some days the orders are small, and some days we’re staying late to finish a big batch for a regular customer. There’s no big secret to what we do; we just show up at the shop and handle whatever comes our way that day. It is just life in the industrial estate.
